Repeat Prescriptions

You can request your repeat medication, preferably in writing by using the computerised repeat slip provided, place it in the box in Reception, fax it to us (08444 773296) or post it with a stamped addressed envelope enclosed for return of your repeat prescription, allowing up to 48 hours to process it.

Alternatively, you can order your repeat prescription via the surgery website by simply following the link above and filling in the details appropriately.

Please allow two full working days between requesting and collecting of your prescription or medication.

Telephoned requests for repeat prescriptions are not accepted because of the risk of errors.

We operate a system of collection direct from local chemists to save your time in coming to Claremont. Please check with your chemist for details.

Prescriptions Charges and Exemptions

Extensive exemption and remission arrangements protect those likely to have difficulty in paying charges (NHS prescription and dental charges, optical and hospital travel costs).

The NHS prescription charge is a flat-rate amount which successive Governments have thought it reasonable to charge for those who can afford to pay for their medicines.  Prescription prepayment certificates (PPCs) offer real savings for people who need extensive medication.
